| Seriously, how sweet is my pen pal?! |
I've been follwing Janel's blog for some time now. She is so creative and inspirational and has adopted the most beautiful little girl. It's been wonderful to watch the journey unfold. I sent her a modest little letter last week and got this beautiful package of goodies in return. (I need to step up my pen pal-ing!) It feels so good to write a letter to someone.. a real, hand-written, heart felt letter. And of course, it's nice to get one in return.
My best friend Kari is the queen of hand-written notes and letters. I've always admired this about her. Whether it's a thank-you, birthday wish, or a simple hello Kari will never miss an opportunity to hand write a heart felt greeting. It's not hard at all, but it's something I often forget to do. I'm going to make it more of a priority to let the special people in my life know I'm thinking of them - not via text, facebook or e-mail!
You should try it! I'm serious! You don't realize how much you'll bless someone's day with a few handwritten lines, some thought and a little stamp or two. Hey, now you have a reason to go buy some cute stationary!
