This Week

We've had a full, crazy, fun week! We got a new picture of our girl Sunday and she looks so happy! Our caseworker actually sent it in the middle of the sermon Sunday morning. And guess who starts crying?...in the middle of church?...this girl! The past couple of pictures I've seen of E, she has had such a sad look on her face. The new picture we got shows a big, happy face. It was so good to see that smile again. Also, we are nearly done with our 30 day wait so I'm a ball of emotions!

I just started my job Monday and my youngest, Caleb started school. I'm not teaching in either one of my sons' classes, but I get to see them on the playground or in the halls from time to time. I've enjoyed working a few hours a week, especially with the group of ladies I get to work with. The 3 year olds in my class are adorable. I love hearing their sweet little voices at prayer time.

Brian and I tackled a big DIY project at home. I am really loving our home more and more as we update it. I'm definitely not a fan of all the shiny brass fixtures in the house. Thankfully, our fireplace project turned out really well. We white washed the brick hearth, added a new mantle and spray painted the brass.
Before
After

I'm so thankful for all the new people I've met since we moved. I see new friendships developing aleady for me and for my family. My favorite has been when we walk in somewhere and a little voice happily yells, "Bennett!". I love that he is making lots of new friends. My sweet boy had a breakdown this week. He sat on the couch crying about missing his old friends from school. I mean, really crying. I know his heart hurts. It was hard to see him so sad, but I know great things are yet to come. So thankful for what God is already doing!
