Out of Hiding

You probably didn't notice, but I have been hiding for the past week or so.  I made my blog private out of fear and I haven't liked it one bit.  Of course, as we get closer to traveling we will be more careful about the information we share about our adoption process.  Having said that, I don't think fear is a good reason to make the blog private.  I want continue to be a voice for the vulnerable, share struggles and triumphs regarding our process and connect with other adoptive parents.

My husband and I know adoption doesn't solve the root of the "orphan crisis" and there is still much work to be done, but it's a cool thing to witness how adoptive parents become world changers.  They are passionate about their child(ren)'s home country and in turn do amazing things by providing sponsorship opportunities, building water wells, getting food and medicine to orphanages, etc... There's definitely no shame in that!

We are so excited to see how God shapes our daughter and sons for his kingdom.  We want to instill in E pride for her home country.  (The sky is the limit for you baby girl!)

So wether or not you noticed me hunkering down in the corner for a bit, I am here! Adoption is not perfect or the ultimate solvent for all the vulnerable children of the world BUT it can be beautiful and I feel so blessed to be on this journey.
