Sarah and sweet Daniel

Despite the fears, the uncertainties, the emotional and financial sacrifices, what family/friends/strangers might say and how vulnerable our hearts may become...we fight. We fight because every little child deserves to be loved and have a chance to just be a kid. They deserve to have a full belly and medicine and someone to hold them when they fall down.  They deserve to be shown the kind of love God has for each of us.

My friend Sarah and her husband had begun the process to adopt Daniel. Here is what she says:


I would like you all to meet beautiful Daniel. He had a rough start in life and had the misfortune of ending up an orphan. He was severely malnourished when he was found abandoned in a market place. I had the opportunity to spend three amazing days with him in Congo. I got to give him kisses, love on him and smell his sweet sun warmed skin. He was a true blessing. He passed away today. He was just over a year old. I am sharing this story to open everyone's eyes. There are thousands of children just like Daniel.....and Wren.....and Merrielle. All fighting for a chance at life. So just keep this in mind this holiday season. You may not be able to see them but they are real. They are hungry and alone and they need your help. Please join me in this fight.
