...or perhaps our home study worker survived us!
Garage sale day was a long, hot, tiring (successful!) one, but we had no time to rest after we closed down. We knew that in just one more day we had an appointment to update our home study. If that wasn't enough, my husband had two mid-terms due for his master's program and he had to pack for church camp. He gets to be a sponsor for a big group of high school kiddos all week at Falls Creek. I can't wait to hear all his stories. :) So after church yesterday the race was on to get the house in a manageable condition, get two papers written, pack, and work on adoption paperwork. You get a little glimpse at what kept me going all day in the above picture. Look at those rolls! I can't wait to squeeze her!
Our home study worker, who had previously updated our home study for Congo, arrived shortly after 8pm. Seriously, she is awesome. If you are in the OKC area please contact me if you are interested in an amazing home study worker at an affordable price too! It's kind of funny to think how meticulous we were in cleaning and preparing the house and getting ourselves looking so presentable for the first home study. This time we were still getting the boys in bed when our lovely worker arrived. She has 3 kids thankfully and was able to ignore the screaming fit Caleb had when we put him in his crib and continued working away. We are waiting to complete a few items here and there, but we are so close to getting this home study update checked off the list. It feels great to make progress.
If I had a money tree (ha ha...) I'd jump on a plane to St. Vincent today and give my girl some big cuddles. I can hardly stand it! What gives us so much comfort is knowing how much love Baby E is getting in foster care. She is one happy, healthy little girl! It will be so much fun when she can come home and join us!
